Amen I Agree

Tell me of heaven for the glory isn't mine.......
As the stranger passerby tries to save my soul
for a dime.
Bible in arms wrath in tongue boldly
approaches me with well rehearsed pun;
"Sinner repent make your peace with the LORD
for your soul shall burn eternally in gates of hell"
As I sullenly walk away thinking to myself
"Sinner" but aren't we all "Sinners" priests, pastors,
ministers and all dare take from the weary of heart
wounded of soul give in exchange words of glorified
wisdom a false sense of hope.
Speak of the Pope and the riches of Rome is enough to
sustain and support entire nations of needy people that
die each day of hunger and starvation.
While Jesus being the rightful king taught against everything
religion now stands for and gave and not took from the poor and
wounded of soul.
Than for whom be the glory if not for a man of all grace.
Tell me I'm a sinner cause I see and fear this malicious world
we live in where no one is true not even to themselves
"Glory or no Glory" I am my own religion and my temple to
GOD is this sinners prayer and the offering of a forever regretful sinning heart.

Very powerful, none will be saved by their actions. All we need do is accept a gift that was paid in full such a ling time ago. We go to him as we are and he is happy to embrace every sinful one of us no questions asked. A task so simple it requires us to become child like to accept it's reality. Sadly many people will continue to try to earn their way to salvation. A cost they are incapable of paying. You did it again I'm filled with more thoughts.
