SOMEWHERE IN UGANDA

     Flames roam
                 Gone, home

     Wet sand
                 Gone, hand

     Stained soot
                  Gone, foot

      No sky
                  Gone, eye

      Unsung
                  Gone, tongue

       Came, knife
                  Gone, life

*Dedicated to the maimed victims of the L.R.A. and the child soldiers who were forced to commit unbelievable horrors or else face execution. Beyond our comprehension. It can happen again.

A very different and unique approach, Cyndi...not sure if this brutality you write of is present or past...I do remember Idi Amin in the 70's (Who was a mini-Hitler or maybe even worse) If it still continues today it is all the more outrageous (history repeating) This kind of savagery is behond my comprehension...I can't wrap my mind around it...Is it the Devil? A disease?...I'm not sure there's an answer to that...Congratulations, my friend - Tim

Sad...so sad...that this still occurs in our century. Far removed are we at times from such horrors. Good Win !! Congrats.
