About This Poem
The Artist
We are inspired by those who
dare,
to express themselves
unselfishly.
The sketch, the poem, the song
they share,
the painting, the novel, the
melody.
They give to us their inner soul,
and allow us to benefit.
To entertain is their goal,
with their skill, their talent,
their wit.
They leave us with a feeling so
warm,
a comfort from within.
It pleases us to see them
perform,
their work is the cause for our
grin.
And so to the gifted, who work
the hardest.
I give thanks to you all for
being the Artist.
