About This Poem
The Revolutionary You
The Revolutionary You --
You are a musical overture, a fine merlot
a thick book, a metaphor, a cumulus
cloudburst, steady table,
four corners of my universe.
You are the spanish medallions on a ship at sea,
the moss that grows on a hickory tree;
the bark is ragged, the moss -- velvety.
