EASY WAY OUT AT 83

EASY WAY OUT AT 83

A burning question –
Is it a sin to be rich? -
Yes if you are poor,
But not if you have a lot

How much is too much?
Another burning question
The poor would answer –
When you have more than you need

The rich will answer –
Once rich, there is no limit
Well, I’ve thought and thought
And I’m tired of these questions

It’s a point of view,
Many ways to justify
I’m in the middle
And I’m tired of these questions

I like your poem. I am like you. I am not poor, but I am not rich either. I have come a long way from. I don't think that it's a sin to be rich - when you have worked for it all your life. It is not how much we make - It is what we do - with what we have made. Hey U. R. still young smile Lucilla

Ah wealth and the power one may wield, this is a proverbial question, Daver. Either, or, might feel hounded. I've been at both ends of the spectrum and the middle might feel to be the best.:) Happily you aren't Hugh Hefner! You have your wonderful kitties, he has a house full of bunnies.:) Stay well...Love, Mikki

I think that richness is relevent, in as much as how usefull it is to a person Daver; and whether people can view it outside of their inherent fear of mortality/insignificance, and the urge to grab at "it" wealth along with power etc as an antidote.. L O L))) hope I've not bored you Daver.."

Exactly the reason for the poem, Joe. I don't want to think about any of it any more. This is the reward for turning 83 - you don't have to. Love, daver
