Rays of sunshine
Everyone gets the blues
Doctors, lawyers, poets too
Here's the good news
You can defeat the blues if you so choose
When poets get the blues
Their poems become filled with gloom
And grey skies always loom
While rays of sunshine are few
Writing a funny limerick may be the cure
A butterfly poem can help for sure
Rainbow verses can be a pot of gold
Blue skies and flowers to behold
Laughter is the best cure of all
Read a good joke and have a ball
Take your poem for an enchanting ride
Your pot of gold is on the other side
Now take some sunshine and rub on your face
Let your smile brighten up the place
