OLDEST AND BEST VALENTINE

OLDEST AND BEST VALENTINE

oh dear, me-oh-my
valentine’s day, all the rage
the headlines – front page
two weeks away, but big news
and here i sit – lost my muse

oh what can i do?
i must invent clever words
sweetest ever heard
searching, everything to lose
and here i sit – lost my muse

this desperate thought
world’s biggest box of candy
a handy dandy
as last resort let’s try it
but no! she’s on a diet

i must give up
cannot even make a start
save her broken heart
just three words will have to do
i’ll kiss and whisper, i love you

Enjoyed this valentine piece Daver, as I see, did Mickkie Mac D.." I think people do sense true affections, so no need to invent clever wording, simple and true will win you through.."

These are the best Valentine gifts, Daver...Just those "three words" :) Sometimes we can get lost in trying something new. I'd written a short Valentine greeting to someone years ago and I never heard from him again. "Be mine turpentine" just didn't do the trick!:)) Have a great week...Love, Mikki
