Shadows are formed between rays of light
Leaving a mysterious image in our eyes
Having us wonder what exactly is in sight
Shadows create another journey in disguise
Shades of colors all blended into black silhouettes
Trees no longer look like the trees we see in the day time
Instead we see images of long fingers we never met
Only in shadows that light left behind
Is all that we have once seen changed before our eyes?
Taking on a different life on their own
Into a dimension where we can’t recognize
A dark and secretive world created in shadows
Phantoms walking their paths along the ground
Are they the people that we know in the light of day?
Or are they ghosts from a world that light found
In shadows that bring them life in a different way
You see a pair of eyes staring at you from deep within the woods
Is it an animal, a person, what exactly is looking back?
In shadows, nothing is quite understood
That is, the dimension between white and black...
