A Winter Eve's Illusion

Beneath the vibrant orange-red of sky
and a yellow spot of sun dropped low,
a farm’s snow-topped structures in the
clearing of a wintry woods
are huddled as if to
draw some warmth from this
brightest part of
a short-lived
pallid
day.

this is so creative! i love the language you've chosen - the "snow-topped structures" and 'wintry woods' are my favs - and the shape adds so much interest to the poem. nice!

Okay, I have to ask - Are you an artist as well as a poet? I feel like someone who can paint such a beautiful image with words can probably create some really amazing masterpieces with real paint.
