I like this. I wonder if your meant to say "Dear" not "Dead" doctor in the first stanza. It DID grab my attention. The irony of the poem for me is that a "normal" person might seek a doctor if they looked at a tree and saw something else, whereas an artist would do the opposite...nicely done.

Sometimes loss takes away the color. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you'll see a tree as much more than just a tree soon... a part of God's creation... a place for shade... a home for animals... a place for children to climb..... don't stop looking!
