Catch The Rain
Catch The Rain
Catch the rain before it falls
Into raindrops that will reflect
A translucent window to our souls
Where the teardrops are seen from pain of neglect
Catch the rain before the sunshine
Dries them and takes them away
Try so desperately to find
It’s mirror’s reflection to a better day
For when the rain hits the ground
The raindrops leave a tear’s trace
To a heart that has been tied and bound
Where love was supposed to take its place
Each raindrop reflects where teardrops fall
It’s time we change their reflection
Then we will have allowed the sunshine to light us all
To a place where our tears would be replaced by love’s protection
