Clipped
How can one write an ode
In words so short and clipped?
It’s not a job for most,
When thoughts from minds are ripped.
Yet tests are made to pass,
So oft I like to try;
Though friends might laugh or scoff
And ask me for the why.
I’d say to keep me sharp;
The brain needs help at times.
It’s fun to tap the spot
It hides my words and rhymes.
My work is done for now.
This test I have not failed.
In fact, it seems to me
I’ve got this one quite nailed!
