Nature's Design
The rain comes through my window
And I open up my eyes
Two pairs of shoes beside my bed
And one of them's not mine
A silhouette across the room
Is smiling ear to ear
Her flirting voice reminds me
Of the things that happened here
My soul was just a tag along
And there was no provision
To bring to heel my body
As it made its own decisions
If we could know what lies were told
Then maybe we'd forgive
But life is taking prisoners
Just to make sure that it lives
