WILTING AWAY

WILTING PETALS UNDER A BURNING SUN
EACH PETAL FELL ONE BY ONE
AS THE LAST PETAL FELL
A SEED DROPPED TO THE EARTH
MOURN NOT THIS DEATH
BUT CELEBRATE REBIRTH

Death--a most interesting subject. It touches us all. It's tough when you are the flower. I will miss my family and the pleasure of observing so much. Thank-you for this brings a tear to my eye.

Thank you for reading my poems. I didn't mean to make you sad. :( I'm sorry it took me so long to reply but I have been going through a difficult time and have nto visited this site for awhile. Perhaps I should more often. It might help me.

Yes. Death does touch us all but like the poem says, it's a rebirth, the start of a new journey. Thank you for reading so many of my poems and I'm sorry to take so long to reply but I have not been on this site for awhile. <3

I haven't visited this site for quite some time due to some drama in my llife. I was just commenting to Duke that I probably should read and write poetry more when I'm going through difficult times rather than avoiding it. I tend to be a bit of a hermit when something unpleasant happens.
