I wish, I could go back in time
Back, back to when I was a child
Full of happiness and pure joy
To Christmas with my family
O, how I loved this special day
I wish, I could go back in time
The cooking and decorating
Mom fussing and Grandma dusting
Dad entwining lights on the tree
And I, placing bright Christmas balls
I wish, I could go back in time
The fireplace crackling and glowing
It is different now, for sure
As my family left this world
Sadly they took my Christmas joy
I wish, I could go back in time
