About This Poem
My Christmas Wish for Santa
Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas is
For you to roll back the hands of Father Time
Could you be so kind?
To a day when I was nine and there was ten feet of snow
My sister and I would roll snowballs like sugar cookie dough
We’d be dressed in vibrant colors from our heads to our toes
Where did those magical days of youth go?
We’d spend sun up to sundown building the perfect igloo
We’d walk to Seven-Eleven and buy a large cocoa for two
Our noses would drip and we’d split a single tissue
Roll back the hands of time. Could you?
Sincerely,
A big grown up kid

I've been a very very good girl, Santa!
