About This Poem

DayDreamer

"The Dream Manipulator"

Wishing upon the stars I see.
Magical moments and sugary surrenders.
Embrace the twinkle notes.
My lids slip into an everlasting feel~ In trance, my dreams belong to me...

Candle wax spills so sweet.
Bejeweled with bloodshot posies.
Aroma occupies the scenery.
A tune seductive and real~ In trance, I walk into my dream…

In the country of warm fairy lights.
I glisten and listen to the echoes.
Overheated, love and hate alike.
Fog leaks under the new sky~ In trance, I’m far from reality...

I captivate all the calmness.
My gender followed by those.
Giving life to an ordinary page.
Faint away to your beating pulse~ In trance, I’m obsessed by my dream...

Savoring the precious forecast.
The furnace keeps me warm.
Motions moving from this curse.
Sun-dance, away from the rain~ In trance, I yelp in my dream...

Suave lids reeling in the glow.
A soft memory fades the feelings of yesterday.
The day swings in a new journey.
Today “DESIRE” is my choice of food~ In trance, I stay in my dream...

Very touching excellent poem written by a very good poet. I saw that you view another poet named Margherita Russo she's only 14 and I know it would mean alot for her to have you read her newest poem if you have the time. Thank you very much.

You're so clever, this internalization dramatic yet beautiful. It always seems more dramatic in the moment, with hopes of achieving past greatnest in some aspect. I think I know the feeling. Wonderful poem that I need to read again.

Congratulations for being one of Poetry Soups best poets. When I read this poem about "daydreaming" I can so relate to it as sometimes I don't want to wake up from a wonderful dream. There is so much bad things happening in the world. It is nice to be able to escape into our dreams and shut out these things for a while anyway. I will read more. I'm sure. Love Pam.
