About This Poem
A lullaby conglomerate
She said she’d always be there;
Stay through thick and thin;
But she walked away without me;
And our love it’s on and off again.
Damned right I got the blues;
Right down from my head to my toes.
And I tell you people bad luck is always with me;
It always comes but never goes.
My only son he doesn’t know me;
And I doubt he even cares.
And when staring back at me
Its empty eyes that stare
And damned right I got the blues;
I see nothing but smoke coming back again;
And my baby’s back for another round
And I’m afraid she’ll win again
