Not A Moment Wasted
Little princess in my arms
And little prince wrapped around my legs.
Were running through hallways
Laughing like there's nothing wrong in the world.
Her giggles ringing through my ear
And his little words singing through the air.
So perfect Is this moment
So free is my soul.
The only thing I need to be ok is
To be able to spend all day with them.
Come nap time Ill tuck lovely lady in her crib
And little man curls up on his big boy bed.
Sitting on the couch I relax and read a book
Until the moment when baby girl opens her eyes.
The afternoon filled with silly games
And imagination zipping across our finger tips.
Little dance parties filled with fun
And super hero games never before played.
Little boys eyes opened wide
So excited for craft time.
All covered in paint and glitter
We race up to the bath tub.
Little princess first
All cleaned and comfy.
Little prince next with his sneaky little tricks.
Lovely lady fast asleep
To the sound of a gentle lullaby.
Soon little man all dried and wrapped in blankets
Waits for his super hero story.
Kisses given and stories read
I close his door and wait 'til morning.
With a smile lingering on my lips
I know I love being their nanny.
