About This Poem
Beyond The Bell
These heroes’ don’t chase around a ball…
They are not actors or singers at all…
Books and lessons are their tools…
Teaching children throughout our schools…
But beyond the bell hero’s stood…
They sheltered angels with all they could…
Their act of selflessness reaches far beyond the classroom walls…
Where a lesson of bravery was taught to us all…
Tomorrow the bell will ring for a new school day…
And new heroes will teach from what we’ve learned today…
