In My Dream

In My Dream The day after you died I searched for you everywhere Sadly knowing that the tears I cried Didn’t bring you back here I kept trying to listen for your voice Between the waves that crashed up against the shore Sadly knowing that the tide soon swept away the choice Of leaving your sweet echo for me to explore I kept searching for your face smiling Through the rays of the sun coming in my eyes Sadly knowing that while the sun was shining All it showed was the pain I couldn’t hide I kept trying to feel you near In every place I would go Sadly knowing it lead me to tear On a love I used to know Later on that night I suddenly fell into a deep sleep There you were in a beautiful sight Holding me endlessly in my dream In my dream, the waves were crashing up against the shore Echoing your voice for me to hear The sun’s rays showed me your beautiful smile once more Without showing me a single tear I woke up the next day Welcoming the sun as it came through Looking out the window at the waves That magically lead to a journey to connect me with you…
