About This Poem

Scarlet Jewels

Scarlet jewels laborious drain,
Mined from pumping jugular vain.
Sabering sharply slashes deep,
Heavenly angels mournfully weep.
Cold onyx eyes watch the flow,
A victim's window to the soul fading glow.
Oh what callous demon's hoard,
Swiftly stabbing fanged sword.
Thief of fragile mortal life,
Selfish to a human's sacrifice.
Empty souless eyes, no compassion shown,
Slurping greedily, jewels for his very own.

A very dark, sinisterly and sanguineous creation you’ve weaved here. Great poem.
