Gone Without an Explanation
A child so young,
Her soul so innocent.
Caught up in the horrors of today,
Not knowing how to get away.
She made it through her days without crying,
Though in her head she thought about dying.
It seems she always faked her smiles,
Her false happiness stretched for miles.
Her parents wanting to know why,
Their little girl would want to die.
Not knowing what made his sister go astray,
He prayed to God her pain finally went away.
