About This Poem
No Magic
Its difficult to find a lot of magic
during the Christmas season when
you're disabled and living on $800
per month. But I'm tired of this
story. My close friends, the older
I get, are all old scrooges who will
try to avoid most all of the festivities.
I have plenty of reasons not to be
so festive if you really want to know.
In 2001 I had brain surgery that left
me with seizures and a myriad of other
health issues, severe depression,
paranoia, blood pressure issues. I
take twelve pills a day just to stay
normal, what ever that is.
