The Deadly Wound
Our aging infrastructure
Is in critical need
Of major renovation
But put off by ravenous greed
The wounded global economy
Struggles as it beats
Critically depending on
The condition of its streets
Its power grids
Its skies
We could curb our appetite
It's more likely
Something dies
