I was thinking it was going to be a take on the Xmas tune of the same title. But instead, it is this very thoughtful poem that reflects all humanity. Nicely done, becca.

A truly beautifully written piece of work... Touching in it's simplicity... and how it seems to know the soul...

Not sure if my last soup mail notice was for my current response. If not you have another Soup mail. By the way I really enjoyed reading this one again. I do hear what you say, I do wish to see clearer!

just had a similar conversation with my best friend...no one sees their own worth at some point in their lives...enjoyed this one! Great poem!

This is a poem that everyone should read. I am touched by your words. The gift of Salvation so simply expressed. Very appropriate when you consider that we must become like Children before we are able to accept this amazing gift. This is my favorite for the season.

aw David... I think you're wrong about that. Your soul is most definitely worth saving. Look again...

WHoa Rebecca! I had to do a double take! I like this a lot...it's like a reflected introspection bouncing of another human being, such that you are able to place yourself in their place and wonder why the things that are clear to you are not clear to them. Very well written!

Vicky, when it comes to writing poetry, for me there is no better feeling than when someone reads and understands what I wrote! And one of the things I admire about you is that you not only write beautiful poems, you are also good at articulating your thoughts about other people's poems. Thank you for "getting" this and for your lovely comment, you've made my day! :D
