About This Poem
Christmas joy
The stage is set
Lights cameras action.
The first person to arise
Starts the show
Once the light switch is touched
The home comes to life.
Tree is aglow,
Can see table is set.
Oven has been cooking away
Turkey cooking to perfection
Presents jumping up and down
Saying me me open me
Ooh and aahhs exchanged
Smiles on faces
Thanks to god silently said
The joy of christmas overwhelms all
The day that laughter and hope
Comes to call .......Merry Christmas
