Of Christmas Past

Of Christmas Past Christmas is the time of year When we reflect on the memories of Christmas past Missing some of our loved ones that are not here Some have drifted apart, some have passed As the years go on Christmas’s that we spent Have sadly changed, though the joy of Christmas still remains a hope We find ourselves wondering where all that time went Wishing we could relive those times of long ago Parties that we spent singing carols by the piano Smiles appearing on every face The magic of Christmas that made our hearts glow Special memories we wish we could still embrace This Christmas will bring reflections that were made to last In between the beauty of snowflakes and the Christmas lights Holds treasured memories of Christmas Past Bringing to life this silent night...

Gail; This poem really brings back memories of Christmas past. My father died on a Christmas day. I still hope for a miracle. If this is for the contest I hope it wins. Lucilla
