About This Poem
Skin on Skin
Your hands touched mine
In an instant, years rewound
Your hands touched mine
And our fingers slowly entwine
Securing a love once unbound
This simple act is so profound
Your hands touched mine
You bring a smile
Where troubled waters once ran deep
You bring a smile
And all at once life is worthwhile
With your kindness you so shall reap
The love of others, yours to keep
You bring a smile.
A final kiss
Bestowed on those you leave behind
A final kiss
And holding hands is what I’ll miss
A smile each day I hope to find
I give you this from all mankind
A final kiss.
