feel what s/he knows is
what is really happening,
uses the word “believe”
as if s/he needed it to
breathe,
throws out her/his labels
on others in a manner of
nonchalance, letting the
chips fall where they may &
running when the game
doesn’t turn out just like
s/he planned---
but
ooh, how the projector
feeds on success in
prediction,
for each time s/he’s right
about something or
someone, her/his ego
grows,
revealing the deepest of
insecurities
bubbling up from
within.
