A Flame Once Burned
Plasma which makes flame
vanishes once heat
consumes oxygen
and sparse fuel, leaving
only cold ashes.
The refuse lies.
Warmth and brightness
live without form,
intangible.
Flame itself
never dies,
only waits,
patient;
set to
start.
