Your savior keeping you safe
I was with you when you were born
I held you in My arms
although you couldn’t see
you could sense
and you knew My power
when your life began
I was with you growing up
when you were facing the world for the first time
I cried when you fell
and kept you safe
always aware what you would face
I knew you would be saved
and accept grace
and that is why I opened My arms
and shed My blood
and took your place
I took care of you in your teens
when you were wild and had crazy dreams
I cried when you turned away
I knew it would happen when I held you
but I kept holding
knowing you would return
and still to this day when this world is dark and grey
you don’t know what to expect
I am your Savior keeping you safe
and I would do it all again
because before the world was made
I knew what you would face
and My purpose was to give you grace
to see you in heaven someday
