About This Poem
Viewing Life Through a Lens
The pictures of nature for the
contest were beautiful but I am
a city girl. My lens is usually
propped on the freeway or taking
photos of singers at a jazz club.
I'm used to traffic and driving
a stretch to get to where I need
to go. Los Angeles has all that
you ever need or want. There are
stores to shop for Indian spices,
wonderful theater and the
fabulous down town area
with fabrics from all over
the world. When I plan a trip
it is usually to see another city.
I love staying high up in luscious
hotels. My lens portrays the
vibrancy of city life. I seriously
don't now what I would do
in nature or the wood. Maybe
one day I'll try it.
