About This Poem

To the sadist

peel off the surface of my heart
watch as its walls tumble apart,
celebrate as I fall …

snigger as I show you my fears 
smirk as I drown myself in tears
… for with you I stand small.

    The sadist is pathetic... unfortunately s/he can often destroy the more sensitive amongst us... but through your poems, I feel your strength as well as sensitivity, so I'm sure you could not really be made 'small'... Terry (Good, insightful poem, Vicky)
