About This Poem
Soft Ripples
The soft ripples flow across the small lake
The stagnant water reflects the mountains
Where the water lies I see for my sake
Sure mindful of beauty with give and take
The water carries much delight within
The soft ripples flow across the small lake
There’s not enough flow to leave a shore wake
It’s the best graced water that’s ever been
Where the water lies I see for my sake
Birds fly high looking for a bit of cake
Seeing the lake below where it began
The soft ripples flow across the small lake
There’s just truth in the water nothing fake
Water shows its path along the fixed land
Where the water lies I see for my sake
The land holds the water where it does rake
The water reflects just like a large tin
The soft ripples flow across the small lake
Where the water lies I see for my sake
