A Temporary Heaven
Our meadow is a pretty place,
Where we can escape the world.
The sun shines down to warm my face,
But of course it sets for you.
At night we watch the stars shine bright,
Never noticing the space between,
Because here there are no gaps to fill,
I would fight against the world,
As long as you're with me.
It's too early to say goodbye,
But we're already parting ways,
And I promise i'll be back,
But just another day.
For this is no ordinary meadow,
This is the meadow of our minds.
Never will it perish, burn, decay,
Never will it fly away,
Like the birds from a haunted dream.
We will always see the sky,
In our meadow, just you and I.
