About This Poem
When Santa Came
I couldn’t go to sleep on this Christmas
I knew Santa would be coming tonight
There were noises downstairs, I yelped for joy
Could it be him, were his reindeer on the roof
I heard talking and a jolly ole laugh
But was it really him, I wanted to know for sure
I slipped off my bed, walked quietly down the hall
I looked at the tree, but I saw nothing
But the presents were all there that Santa left
And the stockings were stuffed to the brim
Not wanting to get caught out of my bed
I ran to my room with a giant smile on my face
I knew Santa had come, I saw what he left behind
I fell asleep that night with the biggest smile
And I had the warmest heart that I’ve ever had
Entrant into craig cornish's "Fond Memories" contest
