About This Poem
Let Myself Bleed
We're all searching for answers nowhere to be found;
If I give up then I'm nothing but a coward.
Though a broken road has your feet glued to the ground,
You're still expected to keep moving forward.
When questions keep going unanswered,
All they do is multiply;
I'm tired of asking myself why...
All of my pain, my sorrow, my hate,
Let's paint this world red with a lonely fate.
At last imprisoned questions will be set free,
For tonight, I'm going to let it all bleed.
This life has been beating me for so long,
I just can't win its losing fight.
I thought it'd be worth it, but I was wrong-
There's nothing of worth left in my sight.
When questions keep going unanswered,
All they do is multiply;
I'm so tired of asking myself why...
All of my pain, my sorrow, my hate,
Let's paint this world red with a lonely fate.
At last imprisoned questions will be set free,
For tonight, I'm going to let it all bleed;
And all of my spite, my rage, my confusion-
I'll leave it all behind, life is just a delusion.
At last I am going to be set free,
For tonight, I'm going to let myself bleed.
When questions go unanswered,
All they do is multiply-
I'm done asking myself why.
