Fireplace

Orange light
dancing in the night.
Reptile skin
burning majestically in the wind.

Rare display of fireflies
as its swarm reaches to the skies.
Radiance warms the room
without the choking fume.

Blackened snow gently falls to the ground
and billows on the floor without a sound.
Smelted gold, radiant in the dark
slowly burn without a mark.

Heated bronze, as daylight fades
the heat dies, but the life stays.
Darkness transcends, leaving the light
and the cold seeps in without a fight.
