About This Poem
Nature's Fight
Nature’s Fight
Leaves of late autumn fight to exists on skeletal trees
Their colors have sadly begun to fade
Soon they know that a cold winter’s breeze
Will blow all their traces of existence away
Snowflakes of late winter fight to stay thawed on the ground
Their color of white soon will become brown from the dirt of the earth
Except for the snowflakes that has covered objects that stand high around
Before long spring will melt them to quench its flowers for their birth
Raindrops of each season change, they fight to keep their translucent window
Though before long, snowflakes in winter’s arrival will cover the rain’s window in magic white
And the leaves in the autumn will reflect their rich colors through the rain’s glow
As they all struggle to exist in nature’s fight
