Ribbon Tied

.

Sentences From a Letter Unable to Be

I keep myself busy although I don't know what I'm doing
I'm moving forward but I don't know where I'm going
I wear the ribbon in October and my ring every day
I still run the marathon that once we ran together
I am no longer awake in the middle of the nights
I know that I'm not talking to you as I used to
I've planted your pet flowers, the pink ones
Our friends feel uncomfortable around me
I keep polishing your name every Sunday
                     There is no cure yet
                     I'm not praying
                     I no longer cry
                     I'll see you soon

ruben, this soupmail he says he sent me never happened. Also, he says he does not know how to remove comments either. that is a lie too because he removed the comment he made to me under my poem calling our friend blogger a fag. he is simply angry that I had an opinion on something. I guess in addition to being racist, he is also sexist since I am a woman who actually voiced an opinion contrary to his own. Good grief.

A while back I left a comment on your poems of appreciation, before adding you as a favorite poet. I don't know how to remove a comment, or care to. I will not remove you as a favorite poet. you can block me. read my poem 'White Rose'. Soon your buddy will remove the blog, or you can remove your comment.

Dear Ruben letters like this make me weep. It is so emotionally packed I am pretty sure it must be a true one. My husband ran the city marathon so many times I can't count. Maybe they are still running together. love, Kathy

You make me giggle! of course, you are not getting rid of me so easily. This, is one of those poems that worry my heart, and i just want to wrap my arms around you, and then tickle you silly until laughter spills out. yeah. I have been flirtatious today, it's been a blast. No, i am not very good at flirting, with words, so you will have to use your imagination. HA! :) love and hugs, Catie :)

The succession of tho'ts is unique and powerful...it appears as tho u have tried to "start" writing this letter and abandoned it several times which has such a strong effect on me! Great work, Ruben. :) Happy Turkey Day early! gwendolen
