About This Poem

When Is A Scruff Not A Scruff

When is a scruff not a scruff ?
When it’s a diamond in the so called rough
When is beauty more than skin deep?
When it shines through all, and you want it to keep.
The rough with the smooth, the scruff with the inner beauty
A mixture of both works like a bag full of booty
Two minds that meet in memorable ease
No need to dance, the conversation to tease
Words without guile, just truth and not coy
As though known forever since girl and boy
Stolen moments to cherish for time now and forever
To be logged in memory and lost one hopes never.
