Blank Canvas

A bright blue sky catches my eye
As the beauty of the horizon glistens
And the sun raptures my soul

The warm sand flows through my hands
As i gather shells along the shore
In each one a story told

Of life on earth a priceless birth
Of wonderous beauty
To admire and behold

Thank you Harry, Things are a bit up in the air, to put it mildly, in my life at the moment, which makes it difficult for me to concentrate on writing, but it will pass with Gods help, and when it does i will be ready with my pen, love and best wishes to you always, Elizabeth

I love the line "Of life on earth a priceless birth" That last stanza is awesome and reflects the title of the poem. For the newborn the earth is a blank canvass that develops as he or she takes in the world's wondrous beauty.
