Good afternoon Arlid, reading this one once again. Now, I have a new comment for this poem. Now that I come and think about it, I am okay with giving this world new room for life. Maybe, then reality would not have to do a check on it's list and remove things so quickly. Everything should have a longer lifespan. Even leaves, and then maybe we wouldn't have to watch them lying dead on the ground...((and rake them)) yuppp... a longer life sounds better...besides, everything should be green and everlasting in our eyes. I don't like the reality we have to accept when the dead reflects off of life.... okay, I'm lost.. and you know it... he he he... can't help it... I have such a negative mind... always~ Linda

much truth in those words... maybe that's why i dislike autumn...it's beautiful but symbolizes death more than any other season... Great poem!

Kinda sad that we have to die and make room for new life. I feel the same sadness each year when the leaves fall for I know that snow is around the corner and today we have gotten more than a foot. Can't seem to catch up with all the shoveling. Hope you still are snow free. love phyl

Good morning Arlid.... I'm not to fond of leaves laying on the ground.. waiting to be stepped on... life is short.. all the air we breathe comes in short seconds of inhalation... how about them leaves, surrendering the space they occupy.. only to freshen the air we breathe.
