About This Poem
Winter's Blanket
Quiet midnight stroll
Footprints vanish instantly
From silver pathways
Opalescent lights
A thousand diamonds clinging
To frosted branches
Tiny clouds of breath
Mingling with chimney smoke
Stars peek through the haze
Candlelit windows
Incandescent pools of light
Banish blue shadows
Slumbering houses
Silent streets tucked into night
With blankets of snow.
