A dead man soul

A dead man's soul

Night has fallen,
The shadows confined

Scene after scene,
No one intervenes.

There was no denying.
He lay there dying.

No real notion of time.
His crossing undefined.

A sad moment indeed,
No one is there to hear his silent screams.

Grasping, for a moment of repent,
Darkness surrounds, his last movements, so intense.

Gripping reality between fiction,
Remember the innocence of his convictions.

Tugging tighter a his chest,
Moments after, he's laid to rest.

Poem not as sad as I initially thought, if he was repenting he was not alone. I enjoy how you are able to create a mood with your words.

This is a very nice/good poem, Manon... a stark image of human desolation... Terry
