In Life
In Life
In life, a person can get old before their years
If they allow their happiness to drown within their tears
In life, a person can seem older than what they are
Having been dealt with so much pain and left with permanent scars
In life, a person’s soul can die years before their death
If it never knew that it would survive through each breath
In life, a person’s dreams someday will soon feel too far away to reach
If they wait endless years to decide it wasn’t meant to be
In life, a person’s heart is a place where their soul lives within
Unless they shut down their feelings because of where they've been
A person will never give themselves the chance to live
If they don’t allow the seed of life to do what it was meant to give
