A Light Gone Dim

No longer can i withstand
the sight of such stupidity
the sight of all this senselessness
all this foolish absurdity

It's like cancer spreading rampant
Underneath our ignorant skin
It is killing all the nations
All our people and all our kin

Humanity has lost its way
Succumbing to worldly whims
and now we cannot see
for reason's light has gone dim

We ourselves have killed the lights
Plunged ourselves in endless night
and as we indulge in shallowness
We've become this unhallowed mess
