About This Poem
The Fog
The fog, the fog is everywhere.
It covers land and sea.
It's like the clouds have fallen down
surrounding you and me.
We're in a box of nature's making,
cut off from everything bright.
The fog's moved in and smothered all.
There is nothing but grey in sight.
The view has disappeared from here
as a dampness fills the air.
Grey is such a lonely colour.
The fog, the fog is everywhere.
The view is gone, it's gone away.
There's nothing left to see.
The fog, the fog is everywhere
surrounding you and me.
