About This Poem
Mirror Reflection
There as I’m standing
I sure see my reflection
In a cold mirror
On the wall across the way
As light cascades down on it
It does seem as though
Stark and harsh in appearance
The rugged mirror
Pulls life in, pulsates some out
A semblance of what it sees
A gorgeous image
If there is something pretty
That presents itself
In line with the great mirror
Then life sees beauty as well
We desire to see
Life with a beautiful base
Want for perfection
I see me in the mirror
So what do I make of it…
What is it I truly see?
